Event Marker Pro has been designed from the ground up to be extremely flexible. It will integrate with a very wide range of database systems and accept swipes from existing card systems. In most cases capital expenditure can be kept to a minimum by utilising existing infrastructure and DBMS. The system is highly scaleable, suited to very large institutions and small colleges.
Due to the feature rich design, the system can function as a complete registration, assignment ma
nagement and reporting resource. In the case of smaller institutions without a central MIS or core resource, Event Marker Pro can fill the gap and provide a very high level of functionality for staff, in a single package.
In both the small and large models, the system provides a very simple method of registration for students. It also provides an easy way of checking their attendance, outstanding assignments and their timetables.
Event Marker Pro has its own SQL database but passes data freely in and out from and to other databases. The system links with several popular MIS databases and with CELCAT. It is extremely flexible in that it can import and export data through an API or read & write data directly to tables.
Event Marker Pro can be linked to IDXtra's access control systems, so that door controls double up as registration readers. Event Marker Pro is capable of accepting swipe card data from a variety of other systems, especially those that are SQL based. An installation can be comprised of both access control readers and simple desktop card readers.
Event Marker Pro accepts Oyster cards by reading cards' serial numbers. Each card needs to be associated with its owner within the eMarker Pro system, so that the system recognises the card as that user's active credential. This is quite a quick process that can be performed by administrators and staff with the appropriate rights.
Event Marker Pro accepts all the most popular types of proximity smart cards. Including; Mifare 1K, Mifare 4K, DESFire, iClass, ISO Prox, DUO Prox, etc. In many cases the (card number - student name) association can be imported from existing systems to save doing this within Event Marker Pro.
