Event Marker Pro is a system that allows students to swipe their own ID cards on a simple card reader pad inside the classroom |
The system dramatically reduces the time taken to register a class of students, down from 10 minutes to less than a minute! |
The system also reduces the opportunity for any kind of mis-marking and therefore improves both staff and students' confidence in the recorded marks |
To be complaint with Learner Eligibility and Contribution Rules registers must:
- Be completed at the start of each session with the relevant date and must indicate attendance, absence or lateness. In the case of authorised absence, appropriate evidence of prior approval must be available.
- Be signed or initialled by the provider’s staff at the time of each session and must never be completed outside of the actual contact time.
EMA and Bursary disputes are nipped in the bud!
The system reduces the likelihood of unmarked registers because students are
motivated to swipe themselves into each lesson.
Students’ attendance swipes are captured even if the lecturer hasn’t "opened" the register.
Room changes and cover are easily accommodated with just a couple of mouse clicks.
Swiping of friends' cards can be easily reversed by the lecturer.
A head count is shown on the register screen at all times.
Learner Eligibility and Contribution Rules
Event Marker Pro is compliant with the Learner Eligibility and Contribution Rules. In particular it is a statutory requirement to be compliant with sections 79-82 of this. Some systems do not meet these requirements but Event Marker Pro is fully compliant.
